Pumpkin lantern competition

Filey Lions have resurrected their Pumpkin competition, and here’s all the important information you need to know.
It will be taking place at the Evron Centre Gardens and the competition is open to 3 categories:
- 7yrs and under
- 8 – 11yrs
- 12yrs and over.
Entry/registration will take place on the night and it’s important that all pumpkins are dropped off between 5.30pm – 6pm.
A piece of Halloween candy and tea lights will be provided along with an entry number sticker to be placed under your pumpkin, you will then need to place your pumpkin next to the corresponding number, so people can vote.
The prizes on offer – £25.00 Amazon gift card for the winner in each category.
Between 6pm and 7pm, people will be able to pick up a voting card and walk along the pumpkins voting for their worthy winner in each category, they can then deposit their voting cards in a box at the end of the display.
Winners will be announced shortly after and be completed by 7.30pm. Entrants can then collect their entries whilst Filey Lions close down the venue.
Even if you don’t feel like taking part in the competition, please come along and see the amazing work done by all the participants and vote for the pumpkins you have enjoyed the most. We know your presence will be appreciated.
