Stories are told in different ways, this evening’s are told via the medium of song. So, shiver me Timbers and all that.
Piratical stories and songs to send out Saturday night in style. Come along me hearties, swashbuckle your way to the Evron Centre for a salty night.
The impending train strike in a couple of weeks has unfortunately meant that Marcus Morgan can’t make it for the Saturday night show with Tom Mason as part of Filey Literature Festival “songs and stories” series.
However they have an impressive replacement in Ash&Mark&Joe with their ‘Trans Atlantic Songs and Stories’ show.
Ash Gray a Sheffield resident but originally from Austin and lead singer and songwriter for his acclaimed band, Ash Gray & the Burners.
Joe Armitage from Sheffield and lead singer for the band Buffalo Ghost.
Mark Allen a Nashville resident and radio host currently on tour in the UK.
Tom Mason and the Blue Buccaneers are a wild band of Nashville musicians who dress like pirates and play a rollicking mix of piratical sing-alongs, rousing historical rave- ups, afro-cuban tinged ballads, Cajun sea shanties, and bluesy Irish jigs, transforming the Evron Centre into bustling seaside tavern at the turn of the seventeenth century.
