Friends of Filey Parks was established in 2003 to enhance our local environment and help look after parks and gardens.

Their first project was Nuns’ Walk. This comprised an area of natural habitat and included a space for picnics, with bird and insect-friendly wild flowers and shrubs.

Since then they have applied for and gained the prestigious Green Flag award for succeeding years.
