My name is Xander Armstrong, all my life as a lover of music I have struggled with the formalisation of music stored and standardised in our Classrooms. I have neither financial support, education, or opportunity’s awarded and given to my musical peers.
Despite personal setback I now play, write, and produce both my own music and the music of Composers and Artists who have stimulated and motivated my own progressive style. Over the past couple of years without any formal qualifications, I have produced, written, and performed in my own musical Productions.
Last year my production of Nosferatu A Symphony Of Horror with a live Musical Score, was a sellout at Scarborough’s Stephen Joseph Theatre.
I do not deny that a formalised education in music is important.
I also believe that those of us for one reason or another, have been able to access either rudimentary musical learning or go onto further education, or those who haven’t been able to, none of us should be denied the opportunity to come together as an instrumental collective, and play from our Hearts and let music illuminate our Soul.
I would like to offer the opportunity to all those who are interested, regardless of background, age, Gender or Sexual Orientation.
Together we will learn, support, nurture, discuss, and of course Play!
My ambition is to eventually put together a full working Orchestra for the local community. All I ask is for one qualification which everyone must have. “A love of Music”
